How does the enrolment process work at our school?
Waldorf education is based on the anthropological laws of human development, with greater relevance for the first three septenary periods (0-7, 7-14 and 14-21), which constitute the educational period par excellence. It is during this time that the three major functions of human life develop: Thinking, Feeling and Wanting (Acting), namely the cognitive, emotional and active areas.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of schooling fall within the second septennium, which will take place based on what was experienced in the first. With this in mind, it is extremely important for pedagogical practice to take into account the first septennium, where the child’s progressive school maturity is observed.
The first enrolment in school is accompanied by several meetings with the child’s early childhood educators, parents and future teachers, so that the future student’s maturity can be assessed and observed. Respecting the appropriate time for the child’s integration into the schooling process contributes to a healthy and harmonious pace of development.

2. Pre-Registration
Are you familiar with our school and would like to enrol your child? Then fill out the pre-enrolment form to be placed on the waiting list.
For the 1st year of the 2026/2027 school year, the enrolment process will begin in February 2026 and we will contact you by email.

3. Observation
Once we know how many places will be available, we invite parents and children, in small groups, to visit us in Figueira. At these meetings, the children will be observed by a team of experienced teachers.

If we have a place available in the desired school year, we will invite you to a meeting with the respective class teacher, at our school in Figueira or at the Vila do Bispo centre, to determine the best way to support your child’s learning journey.
4. Decision & Contract
After an internal review, we will inform families of our decision. If admission is granted, an administrative meeting will be held with the family to finalise the admission contract.
