Serra de Monchique reforestation project

Our school was invited to participate in the Serra de Monchique reforestation project, after the 2018 fire.

The 5th, 6th and 7th classes worked together on planting trees on one of the affected lands.

A Nossa Terra Association described the fire chronology in the summer of 2018 and elucidated students about which native Monchique trees they were going to plant. They also showed and explained the technique of planting a tree.

The trees were donated by air carrier Ryanair.
